Michelle has a background blending arts, education, and social work, centered on intergenerational community building. She focuses on strengths, utilizes asset mapping, and employs a trauma-informed approach, which helps her create safe and nurturing spaces. Drawing from her experiences at the crossroads of healing arts and social justice, she finds inspiration as she studies social work at Portland State University. Her passion is empowering BIPOC and Asian American communities, acknowledging their specific histories, challenges, and resilience. Michelle aims to help individuals discover their story and voice, embracing their identity while honoring their cultural, social, and personal backgrounds to foster healing and growth. Her heartfelt goal is for clients to feel seen and heard, collaborating together to support healing and meaningful life changes. Outside of the office, Michelle can often be found tending her urban backyard garden, spending time with her dog, Kuma, volunteering at the Oregon State Penitentiary, advocating for the arts, or playing and teaching taiko with her ensemble and partner across the Northwest. Michelle is a student intern, completing requirements for her MSW program under direct supervision. She currently works with clients ages 16+ and their families.
