STUDENT INTERN
Pronouns: she/her
Jennifer was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, where she developed a love of snowboarding and all things maple. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Vermont, and shortly after, she spent time working in a hospital diversion program that sparked her interest in adolescent mental health and crisis stabilization. Jennifer also has experience working in children’s education, both in a school setting, as well as through the Boys & Girls Club. These experiences have shaped her understanding of children and adolescents, as well as their families and how to thoughtfully approach their care.
During the pandemic, Jennifer began a graduate program to explore her interest in psychology and mental health. In 2022, she and her partner moved across the country to Oregon with their chocolate lab mix, Mikey. They settled in Portland, where she continued to pursue her Masters of Science in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, which she completed the following spring. As she works to complete her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Walden University, Jennifer hopes to expand her current therapeutic approach which is primarily person-centered and cognitive behavioral techniques, while providing a safe space for all ages. Jennifer is a student intern, completing requirements for her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and works under direct supervision. She currently works with individual clients ages 5+ and their families.
Jennifer provides telehealth and in-person services at our Gladstone office.
