STUDENT INTERN
Pronouns: she/her
Sarah spent her early years living in various parts of the United States before eventually putting down roots in Oregon, where she has lived and raised her family for the past 23 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art Education and has returned to school to complete her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University.
After dedicating 15 years to raising her children, she returned to her professional path with a deepened perspective on growth, resilience, and human connection.
With extensive experience working with children and adolescents as both a teacher and cross-country/track and field coach, Sarah believes in leveraging her clients’ strengths and relationships to help them enact the change they want to see. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, helping them develop effective coping strategies and a greater sense of balance and hope. Grounded in mindfulness, she primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating art-based interventions when working with children and adolescents.
She is passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s ups and downs, helping them ride each wave—big or small—with greater clarity, resilience, and inner peace. Outside of her professional work, Sarah enjoys distance running, exploring art and creativity, working in her yard and garden, and spending meaningful time with her family and her dog.
Sarah is a student intern, completing requirements for her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and works under direct supervision. She currently works with individual clients ages 5+ and their families.
Sarah provides telehealth and in-person services at our Gladstone office.
